Dado with pointed horseshoe arches (type 36)

Dado carved in bas-relief (type 36). The decoration is composed of three horizontal sections: the upper section consist of a narrow beaded band alternating with vegetal elements, the middle section of a continuous sequence of pointed horseshoe arches. The arches enclose and are alternating with vegetal motifs created by half-palmettes and fleur-de-lis.

The dimensions are unknown.

The artifacts were found re-employed in the Ghazni area in 1957.

Type 36 might have been used as an architectural dado or as a tomb paneling.
