Dado panel
Marble
Bas-relief

11th-12th c.

Fragment of the left lateral side of a dado panel. The decoration is composed of four horizontal sections: the upper section and lowermost sections are not preserved; the second consists of a beaded band, the third section of a trilobated arch ending in a vegetal motif. The arch is plain inside. A lateral plain stripe constitutes the panel’s left frame. This type might have been used as an architectural dado or as a tomb paneling.
