Late 12th century

Lustre-painted stonepaste conical bowl, tapered rim, low carination, shallow indentation between wall and base, foot ring; unevenly potted. Complete, very fine vertical crack along the wall.

Interior decoration: band with painted inscription, framed by painted horizontal stripes; plain band. Painted medallions of dotted stems and tendrils featuring mounted horsemen with haloes and ornamented garments, separated by foliate scrolls centered on a vertical stem and framed by segmented lines. Roundel centered on a painted eight-petalled rosette, encircled by radial vegetal pattern with interweaving foliate and dotted stems and cross-hatched buds.

Exterior decoration: Painted vegetal scrolls framed by horizontal stripes.
