Late 11th - early 13th c.

Fragment of a thick opaque turquoise monochrome hexagonal tile, in the shape of regular hexagon, with strongly oblique edges, cut downward. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25). The glaze shows many crackles and a white alteration layer; the blistering of the glaze is also evident, with the presence of many crater of burst bubbles. The front surface is covered by a brownish post-depositional layer. The rear surface is quite even. A small piece of another earthenware object remained stuck to one of the edges of the tile, probably during the firing process.
