Late 11th - early 13th c.

Fragment of a yellow monochrome square tile, with cut straight edges. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25). The slip unevenly covers the front surface, leaving some portions unslipped, that appear darker. The glaze is speckled. Most of the front surface peeled, with the flaking of the glaze. The rear surface is even and shows shallow parallel zigzag incisions, probably made with a knife for a firmer bedding of the tile into the architectural surface.
