Late 12th - early 13th c.

Fragment of a thick green monochrome square tile, with uneven edges. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 26). The slip is cracked. The glaze is speckled and has a light green colour. The rear surface is even and smooth. Moulded relief decoration representing a quadruped, probably a gazelle, in profile, facing the dexter side, showing a large tail raised with a vegetal end. The central motif is enclosed in a beaded frame. The clay was not pressed into the mould adequately, or the mould was of very low quality, as visible by the very low relief of the decoration.
