Late 12th - early 13th c.
Fragment of an olive green monochrome hexagonal tile, in the shape of regular hexagon, with cut straight edges. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25). The front surface shows two tripod marks. The glaze is glossy but rough. The rear surface is quite smooth and shows small shallow depressions, very close each other, probably made for a firmer bedding of the tile into the architectural surface. Moulded relief decoration representing a central equilateral triangle from which there sprout six shoots with buds, alternately bare or with two leaves at the base. The central motif is framed by a simple fillet. The decoration is rendered in very low relief.
