Late 12th - early 13th c.

Three matching fragments of a mustard monochrome square tile, with cut straight edges. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25). The glaze is good and glossy. The rear surface is even, but here both slip and glaze are rough and lumpy. Moulded relief decoration representing a rampant gazelle in profile, facing the dexter side, with its forefeet in the air and a large tail raised. The central motif is enclosed in a beaded frame.
