Late 12th - early 13th c.
Small fragment of a green monochrome hexagonal tile, in the shape of regular hexagon, with lightly oblique edges, cut downward. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25). The rear surface is uneven but smooth. The surfaces in relief of the decoration as well as the frame are completely worn out, with no more slip or glaze; all the parts in relief are flattened, and it seems that they had been well smoothed intentionally. Moulded relief decoration, the central motif is probably zoomorphic, only the paws or feet of a quadruped in profile are preserved. The frame is lost, nonetheless there could have possibly been a fillet framing the central pattern.
