Late 12th - early 13th c.

Small fragment of an opaque turquoise monochrome square tile, with lightly oblique edges, cut downward. Fine fabric, identical to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25). The glaze is not properly opacified. Some parts of the relief decoration are worn out, with no more glaze. The rear surface is quite even and smooth. Moulded relief decoration, the motif cannot be identified due to the small dimensions of the fragment preserved. It can be vegetal or more probably zoomorphic, if the thicker portion of the decoration is interpreted as a paw. The central motif is unframed.
