Fragment of an unglazed hexagonal tile, in the shape of regular hexagon, with cut straight edges. Medium-fine fabric, very similar to the one identified for the glazed vessels of the Ghazni pottery corpus (Fabric no. 25, but coarser). The rear surface is uneven and rough. Moulded relief decoration representing three running hares in circle, their ears forming a triangle. The central motif is unframed. The animals are rendered with a fuller and more dynamic modelling than usual; the volumes are rendered with open, but differentiated, planes, in a more naturalistic way than usual. The design is clear and precise. This pattern is unique among the tiles known so far. The tile has no coatings (slip or glaze), only three very small glaze drops are visible in the lower part of the front surface. It could be possibly considered an unfinished artefact.
