Late 12th - early 13th c.

Complete yellow monochrome hexagonal tile, in the shape of regular hexagon. The slip unevenly covers the sides of the front surfaces, leaving most part unslipped; as a result, the sides appear darker. The glaze is speckled. Most part of the surfaces in relief of the decoration are completely worn out, with no more slip or glaze. The rear surface is undulating, showing parallel close grooves, probably made with a stick or a rope for a firmer bedding into the architectural surface. Moulded relief decoration representing a running horse in profile, facing the left side, with the tail raised; it probably carries a rider. The central motif is unframed. This pattern is unique within the Ghazni corpus.
