Late 12th - early 13th c.

Fragment of a russet monochrome square tile. The glaze appears rough and matt. The rear surface is quite even and shows very shallow parallel incisions, possibly made fora firmer bedding of the tile into the architectural surface. Moulded relief decoration representing a passant quadruped, probably a felid, in profile, facing the dexter side; only the hind legs are visible. The central motif is enclosed in a beaded frame.
