Late 12th - early 13th c.
Fragment of a red monochrome square tile. The rear surface is uneven and rough and shows shallow parallel close grooves, cross-hatching in one corner, probably made to firmly bed the tile into the architectural surface. Moulded relief decoration representing a rampant gazelle in profile, facing the dexter side, with its forefeet in the air; the animal has a large tail raised with a vegetal end. The central motif is enclosed in a beaded frame.
