Late 12th - early 13th c.

Fragment of a yellow monochrome hexagonal tile, in the shape of regular hexagon, with cut straight edges. The glaze shows a white alteration layer. The rear surface is even and smooth. Moulded relief decoration, the main motif occupies only the very centre of the tile, leaving most of the front surface bare. This pattern is very unusual within the Ghazni tiles corpus. The central motif is difficult to be identified, it could possibly represent two geese (?), as suggested by Scerrato (Scerrato 1962: 264), or a lyre-shaped palmette, inside a small central polygonal medallion. The tile is unframed.
