Rectangular panels composing a high facing.
The decoration is composed of a frame (epigraphic in the upper and lateral sides, vegetal in the lower one) and of a main rectangular section (H. 120 cm, W. 58 cm) with a whirls modular pattern. The epigraphic frame is in kufic script; a fleur-de-lis is inserted in the upper corners, interrupting the sequence of the words. The vegetal frame shows a sequence of two interlaced and rolled up scrolls. The whirls modular pattern of the main section consists of thick whirls composed of four wings (each decorated by three large feather-like elements), whose ends are interlaced and converge two by two towards opposing fleur-de-lis in the contour panel.
The artifacts were excavated in the Ghaznavid palace in the late 1950s-1960s.
