Buddha (false-niche)
Red clay; pink paint; inferable: wood (tenon; inner armature?)

Late period

Buddha (body) seated in dhyanamudra on a plain throne, wrapped in overrobe, with covered hands and feet. The figure was probably framed by a false-niche and set between two horizontal cornices, the lower one decorated with a row of rosettes between plain fillets. Pink paint on overrobe. Traces left by wooden tenons on the back.
