Lokapala
Brown clay
Very high relief; decorative plaque worked separately then fixed to the head; completed by engraving
H: 9,5; W: 6,7 cm
Late period

Head of lokapala with wide open eyes and frowned eyebrows, wearing hemispherical helmet with chin-band, scales on sides, points over forehead, chin and cheeks, decorated with a row of square plaques above the forehead and crowned by a disc-and-crescent symbol. Partially blackened by accidental fire.
