Bodhisattva
Red clay; black paint; wood (tenon)
Very high relief; locks of hair and decorative plaques obtained from mould; completed by engraving
H: 31; W: 25 cm
Late period
Head of a bodhisattva. Hair parted in middle, bound by a double string with two large round plaques at the sides, with incised motif. Black paint on hair. Traces of the wooden inner armature and of wooden tenons used to fix the decorative plaques to the head.
