Bodhisattva
Red clay; paint: black, blue, red
Very high relief; locks of hair, decorative plaques and pendant obtained from mould 37m10, 37m1 and 37m2 respectively
H: 165 cm ca.
Late period
Standing bodhisattva with paridhana and uttariya covering left side and exposing right shoulder. The figure wears a double garland (on hair) decorated with plaques, held on the knot, large ring-shaped earrings and two strands necklace with pendant. Black paint on hair; red paint on the hairline and paridhana; blue on uttariya.
Probable related fragments: TS 1569 (knot of hair), TS 1948 (shoulder).
The figure was presumably standing above the right-hand passage.
