Buddha (niche)

Very high relief; rosettes obtained from mould 17m3 (six petals) and 17m4 (double corolla)

Late period

Buddha seated in padmasana on a plain throne, wrapped in overrobe, in a trefoil false-niche supported by pilasters (shaft on the left), with arch decorated with a row of rosette, set between two horizontal cornices decorated with the same type of motif. On the left, a vertical frame decorated with a row of rosettes with double corolla probably marks the end of the figured field. Waving flag (pataka) from the top left of the trefoil false-niche.
