Renewed Memorandum of Understanding between AIA and ISMEO-IAMA

The Afghan Institute of Archaeology (AIA) and The International Association for Mediterranean and Oriental Studies (ISMEO) have renewed and strengthened their close ties through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which aims to promote research innovation and collaborative activities in the under listed areas of mutual interests:
a) Field Archaeology
b) Restoration and conservation of archaeological sites and moveable antiquities
c) Theoretical framework
d) Training
e) Study of archival documents of historical interest
f) Publication standards
g) Heritage policies.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Noor Agha Noori, The Director of the Archaeology Institute of Afghanistan on behalf of Afghanistan Institute of Archaeology, and by Dr. Anna Filigenzi, Director of the IAMA and ISMEO Representative in Afghanistan on behalf of the President of ISMEO, Prof. Adriano Rossi
